Interim Trust Fundraising Support

The Brief:

A charity enabling people living with dementia and those affected by it to live well and thrive through creative activities had previously received funding from a number of larger funders and through other income streams, but many of their grants were coming to an end and coupled with the impact of COVID lockdowns their reserves would take them only until March 2022. They were looking for immediate trust fundraising support to address their critical and capacity needs to give them strategic breathing room and re-engage with funders.

Action Taken:

One of Money Tree Fundraising’s experienced trust fundraising associates provided this urgent support and was able to submit 11 applications (3 of which were multi-year) valued at £210,407. A further application was drafted for finalising by the organisation when the funder’s application window re-opened (value £17,017). These were to a mix of funders selected by the organisation as well as those identified by Money Tree Fundraising. An additional 6 funders had been identified with a recommended total request value of almost £50,000. It should be noted these applications were submitted as we were coming out of COVID lockdown and competition for trust funding was extremely competitive.

Difference Made:

We provided this organisation with strong applications for submission when they were in a position of extreme urgency. We also reviewed a total of 51 charities (of which approximately 1/3 were current or recent funders, had been applied to, or were known to the charity).

“Helen’s worked hard and the applications have all been of a high standard. It’s definitely tough out there!”

“Thank you for all your advice, thought and hard work over the past couple of months – you have really moved us forward…!”
