Trust Fundraising Kickstart – Gold

The Brief:

Whilst we have been fundraising to support our charity since we started in 1978, we have not focussed on trust fundraising. We are growing as an organisation and need to increase our capacity in this income stream.

Action Taken:

Working with our trust and corporate fundraisers, Deanna and Andrew at Money Tree Fundraising used their Kick Start Gold package to get our trust fundraising programme off the ground. It has given us a foundation and structure that we can build on year-on-year to develop good relationships with donors and has led to a review of our entire fundraising strategy.

We are now starting to see the success of the applications they submitted.

Difference Made:

Our fundraising team is very small and we did not have the capacity to properly initiate a trust fundraising programme whilst also maintaining our other income streams. The approach Money Tree Fundraising brought to us has been designed with our limited capacity in mind and will allow us to more easily include trust fundraising in our income generation mix.

Results:

We are waiting on results from most of the roughly 55 applications they completed for us – many are to brand new potential donors. We have also made some important adjustments in our fundraising processes and strategy to make fundraising more effective and efficient in the future.

We have received one grant so far of £1,000 – exactly what we asked for.
