Working with Hospices

Here at Money Tree Fundraising, we support hospices with delivering capital appeals, starting and developing major donor programmes and trust fundraising.

Over the last two years we have worked with hospices across the UK to support major capital appeals and kick started major donor functions. In addition, we have provided training through the National Association of Hospice Fundraisers.

We exhibit at the NAHF conference, where we also give presentations on major donor fundraising and diversifying income streams. Our Senior Consultant, Mike Bartlett, was a director of Fundraising at a Children’s Hospice for five years, so we really feel that we understand hospices and their fundraising.

Hospices are in a great position to develop high level giving programmes (trusts, corporate, capital and major donors), due to their excellent reputations, geographical focus and long-standing supporter bases. Often there is a reticence at hospices to develop this area and rely on community and events fundraising. We would encourage all hospices to explore major donor fundraising to maximise the potential of their donor income.

 

Kick Start Major Donor Programme

Money Tree Fundraising have designed a kick start major donor programme especially for hospices, which takes you through the steps of identifying donors and prospects, planning approaches, creating strong propositions around your services that are attractive to major donors, testing and planning.

This programme can also include workshops with senior leadership teams and trustees to ensure that major donor fundraising becomes embedded into your future fundraising. This model has been successfully tried and tested with hospices over the last couple of years.
